Characterizing viral diversity in humans and endemic, nonnative, and domestic animals in southeastern Madagascar

Samples were collected from the Manombo Special Reserve and surrounding area in southeastern Madagascar in order to characterize known and novel DNA and RNA viruses from humans and endemic, nonnative, and domestic animals. This sample set includes oral swabs, nasal swabs, feces, anal swabs, whole blood, serum, urine, and ectoparasites from humans, lemurs, rodents, tenrecs, cattle, pigs, chickens, ducks, and cats. This sample set additionally includes environmental samples such as water source samples.
