This series contains the records and minutes of the Agricultural Chemicals Advisory Committee (ACAC). The functions of the Committee were to receive submissions and to evaluate the implications including trade implications of the use of agricultural chemicals in Australia; to evaluate the efficacy, safety and ecological hazards of agricultural chemical products and to recommend precautions in accordance with good agricultural practice. (1)The Agricultural Chemicals Advisory Committee was re-established by the Australian Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Council on 4 July 1989. The Committee was previously known as the Technical Committee on Agricultural Chemicals. The ACAC held its inaugural meeting on 9-11 August 1989 in Canberra. (2)Endnotes1.
