**Dataset Overview**
BlockDB Discovered Smart Contracts provides a canonical deployment registry for every smart contract discovered across Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains, built directly from CREATE and CREATE2 call traces. Each record represents a single contract incarnation using a composite 26-byte CONTRACT_ID - encoding contract address, creation block, and transaction index - which correctly handles metamorphic contracts that self-destruct and redeploy at the same address in the same block. Records include the deployer address, creation call type, block of deployment, and full call tree position, giving complete visibility into contract deployment provenance without requiring archive node access.

**Lineage**
Each contract record includes a deterministic _TRACING_ID, linking it to the internal transaction call frame where the deployment was discovered. This ensures verifiable traceability and reproducibility for every downstream record derived from contract metadata.
