Electricity production in Canada 2005-2022

Canada's electricity production by electric utilities and industries has increased over the past decades. It amounted to over 636 terawatt-hours in 2022, up from approximately 600 at the beginning of the period. In 2022, hydropower was by far the largest source of electricity in the country and accounted for roughly 60 percent of the total electric power production.
