资源简介:
This project aims to investigate the soil microbial metagenome of 30 remnant forest patches in Guiyang City, southwest China. Rapid urbanization has made these intra-urban forest patches crucial refuges for biodiversity. However, the distribution patterns, driving factors, and ecological functions of their soil microbial diversity remain unclear. We collected surface soil samples from 30 forest patches varying in size, isolation, and history. Using metagenomic sequencing (e.g., Illumina platform), this study will analyze: 1) Microbial community composition: differences in the structure of bacterial, archaeal, and fungal communities among patches; 2) Functional gene profiles: the diversity and potential of genes involved in key biogeochemical cycles like carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus; 3) Environmental drivers: how patch characteristics (e.g., area, isolation) and soil properties (e.g., pH, organic carbon, nitrogen content) influence microbial community assembly and function. This dataset provides a valuable resource for understanding the impact of habitat fragmentation on soil microbiomes in a highly urbanized context, with significant implications for urban ecological planning, biodiversity conservation, and maintenance of ecosystem functions.
