Vertical Measurement Dataset of New Particle Formation at the 356-m Shenzhen Meteorological Tower (2023)

This dataset comprises comprehensive vertical observations of atmospheric new particle formation (NPF) events conducted at the 356meter Shenzhen Meteorological Tower (SZMGT, 113.91°E, 22.66°N) in the Pearl River Delta, southern China, during two intensive observation periods in 2023: the first from 1 March to 16 October and the second from 14 to 26 October (multiheight coordinated observations at five vertical levels: 5, 100, 150, 200, and 320 m above ground, with additional meteorological data at 350 m). The dataset integrates particle size distribution measurements from mobility particle size spectrometers (SMPS, Nano SMPS, and BiSMPS), covering particle diameters from 1.8 nm to 700 nm, with derived variables such as number concentration per size bin, geometric mean diameter, and total particle number concentration. The data have undergone strict quality control, including outlier removal and tiltangle correction for the anemometer.
