资源简介:
The Northern Aleutian Shelf (NAS) area currently under consideration for oil and gas leasing (Sale No. 75) lies on the north side of the Alaska Peninsula and Unimak Island (Figure 1). It is a roughly triangular area that extends westward to longitude 165° W and northward to latitude 56° 30' N. The NAS area is adjacent to and east of the St. George Basin discussed by NMFS (1974, 1979) and Berg (1977), and is southeast of the area intensively studied in the PROBES program. The proposed lease area is essentially the southern portion of outer Bristol Bay (Straty 1975) and the Outer Bristol Basin--an area previously under consideration for oil and gas leasing (Higgins 1978).
