The CHILES Continuum & Polarization Data Release 1

This dataset contains 1.4 GHz total intensity images covering a quarter square degree of the COSMOS field, at two different resolutions. These images, generated using 1000 hours of total observation time with the Very Large Array in B-configuration, vary in both resolution and sensitivity. In addition, there is a low resolution image-cube with four channels spanning the frequency range 1 - 2 GHz, one channel per observational spectral window. The dataset is valuable for studying the statistical properties of the microJansky population at 1.4 GHz, the structure of radio lobes from active galactic nuclei, and the evolution of star formation in galaxies over cosmic time.
