A case in Feed Chemistry and hazardous waste managemen

It is a known knowledge that food safety is a shared goal and responsibility by the regulatory authorities down to the grassroots. As part of an organization which mandates a food secure Philippines, the Feed Chemical Analysis Laboratory share its part in attaining this mandate through the provision of reliable data on the nutrient levels, aflatoxin level and shelf life of various feeds, feed stuffs, corn and high fat food samples monitored and submitted in the laboratory. This, in turn will assist this office in identifying interventions that will optimize animal nutrition, at the same minimize production and environmental costs, through science-based and data-driven solutions. This report presents the proximate, mineral and aflatoxin data obtained by FCAL since 2018 and how these data assisted farmers, researchers and students in achieving zero hunger and good health and well-being, core components of the sustainable development goals. It also reveals future community-based strategies and goals to continually extend its services to existing and future clienteles.
