Population of the Basque Country by territorial scope, according to sex and the components of the variation.

The knowledge and quantification of the population and families residing in the Basque Country requires various statistical sources. On the one hand, population and families have been counted every 10 years through the Population and Housing Census, as well as Population and Housing Statistics (SPV) in the intercensal period. On the other hand, through the municipal statistics of inhabitants and using as main sources the administrative records of the Municipal Register of Inhabitants, the municipal demographic information is kept up to date.
