Supplementary data for Quantifying cumulative heat effects on heat-related mortality using MODIS land surface temperature data

This document provides the data used in the paper “Quantifying Cumulative Heat Effects on Heat-Related Mortality Using MODIS Surface Temperature Data.” This database includes Eurostat all-cause mortality data (by age and sex, folder “Weekly All-Cause Mortality Data”), weekly MODIS maximum land surface temperature data (day and night, folder “MODIS LST”), and weekly ERA5 maximum land temperature data (day and night, folder “ERA5-Land Temperature”) covering 122 European cities.Additionally, a complete random forest modeling workflow (implemented in R) is provided, encompassing feature generation, PAT optimization, hyperparameter tuning, and cross-validation processes.
