Audio file and acoustics phonetics data for Original RQ: Where does enregistered nonchalance originate from? This question is asked in the context of attribution of phonemes to the grapheme , which is a non-standard 1SG, and where the sounds we are likely to access in endophasia will be most likely candidates for nonchalant rendition. The audio (folder 1) in this repository are utterances containing renditions of the English 1SG, from sources which were identified as massively viewed (globally). The acoustic frequencies of the F2 of these examples of 1SG were measured in Praat. These 131 measurements, as well as the data collector’s perception of the utterance as being standard 1SG or non-standard 1SG can be found in folder 2. This experiment is part one of a two-fold endeavor.
