The file contains source data for the article of the same title, which will be published in the journal Annals of Forest Science.

The dataset contains information on the captures of Nemosoma elongatum, its primary prey (Taphrorychus bicolor and Pityogenes chalcographus), and environmental variables related to trapping locations in the Czech Republic in 2022. The first sheet ("chatches") includes data on the date and location of captures, the type of pheromone lure used (bicolorin or Chalcoprax), and the number of individuals captured for each species, including sex ratios for N. elongatum. The second sheet ("localities details") provides geographic coordinates, altitude, distance to the nearest spruce forest and clear-cut area, sampling plot size, percentage of beech trees, and various environmental factors (e.g., forest openness, presence of non-forest areas). This dataset enables analysis of the relationship between N. elongatum abundance, prey availability, environmental conditions, and pheromone lure type.
