资源简介:
The AWS Project involves collecting meteorological data from an array of Automatic Weather Stations in Antarctica, Greenland, and Peru. This data is freely available on our ftp site in a couple of different formats for our clients. Though this data is free for use, we do ask that you acknowledge our Project in any published work within which you use the data. We receive our grants via NSF's Office of Polar Programs. http://amrc.ssec.wisc.edu/acknowledgments.html
We have data for Antarctica dating back to 1980, Greenland back to 1987, and Peru back to 1992. The data can be found in both raw and "corrected" formats; more information about this data and the specific locations of our stations can be found in the files "readme.faq" and "biglist" on our ftp site. The raw data is much easier to produce and is run monthly within 7-10 days of the first of the month for the previous months data.
Our data is in a tabular ASCII text format, easily ingestible into programs or spreadsheets alike. For more information, please contact us at aws@ice.ssec.wisc.edu.
AWS station data is located via anonymous FTP at
