Chloroplast Genome of Desmos chinensis and Dasymaschalon argenteum (Annonaceae)

The chloroplast genomes of two related genera in Annonaceae, Desmos and Dasymaschalon, in Bogor Botanical Garden were sequenced. One representative species from each genus (Desmos chinensis and Dasymaschalon argenteum) was used to evaluate their relationships. The chloroplast genome size of Desmos chinensis and Dasymaschalon argenteum were 167,677 bp and 191,488 bp, respectively. The chloroplast genomes consist of four regions or typical quadripartite structures divided into one large single-copy region, one small single-copy region, and two inverted repeat regions. The chloroplast genomes of Desmos chinensis and Dasymaschalon argenteum contain 111 genes.
