资源简介:

Long-duration spaceflight poses a critical risk to the central nervous system (CNS), a threat we argue is best understood not as simple radiation damage, but as **accelerated biological aging**. This paper introduces the **Cosmic Ray-Induced Senescence and Neuroinflammation (CRIS-N) Cascade**, a new mechanistic framework where High-Energy Charged (HZE) particle exposure initiates a self-amplifying pathological cycle of cellular senescence and chronic neuroinflammation in the brain. Using NASA's risk assessment models, we present a risk projection for a Mars-bound astronaut, predicting mission-critical declines in cognitive performance. We conclude that passive shielding is insufficient and propose a new paradigm of **biological fortification**, centered on the use of senolytics and real-time monitoring of neurological biomarkers. This work provides a new conceptual framework for space radiation risk, shifting the focus from passive defense to active biological intervention and offering an actionable roadmap for ensuring the neurological health of future deep-space explorers.
