iTRACE-Holocene Dataset: A Holocene Transient Simulation Using the Isotope-Enabled CESM model (iCESM1.3)
收藏资源简介:
iTRACE Holocene (11~0ka BP) all-forcing simulation dataset: commonly used, post-processed decadal and seasonal mean data. The all-forcing simulations (ORB+GHG+ICE+WMT) were performed using the isotope-enabled CESM model (iCESM1.3) For detailed information on the iTRACE Holocene simulation, please refer to: "Climate Simulations and Ice Core Data Highlight the Holocene Conundrum over Tropical Mountains" published by Communications Earth & Environment. Please cite this paper if you use the iTRACE-Holocene data in your publication. The paper is available at: https://www.nature.com/articles/s43247-025-02188-2 The follow-up study "Model Sensitivity to Insolation Forcing and Uncertainties in Holocene Temperature Simulations" published by Paleoceanogr & Paleoclimatol is available at: https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1029/2024PA004958 *The dataset includes (Please check "README" for more details on each variable): (1) atm-surface: Post-processed decadal mean (seasonal and annual) atmospheric surface data (2) ocn-ice-surface: Post-processed decadal mean (seasonal and annual) ocean surface and sea ice data (3) atm-pressure-level: Post-processed decadal mean (seasonal and annual) atmospheric data at pressure levels Additional atm-surface data regarding surface radiation and heat flux can be found at https://zenodo.org/records/14523124 Notation: ANN (annual mean); MAM (average of Mar-April-May); JJA (average of June-July-Aug); SON (average of Sept-Oct-Nov); DJF (average of Dec-Jan-Feb) Check meta information of each NetCDF data: ncdump -h {filename} Timestamp of the iTRACE Holocene data (years before present: relative to 1950) can be found in the file: time_values1.txt Timestamp of the iTRACE Holocene data (Ka or thousand years before present: relative to 1950) can be found in the file: time_values2.txt We thank coauthors Lingfeng Wan and Jiuyou Lu for helping conduct the Holocene iTRACE simulations.
