Genome sequencing Cyanobacteria cultures of the Culture Collection of Algae & Protozoa (CCAP). Cyanobacteriota

The Culture Collection of Algae & Protozoa (CCAP) holds a number of unique Cyanobacteria cultures that have not been subjected to whole genome sequencing, notably the filamentous Cyanobacteria. Many of these Cyanobacteria cultures are not axenic and contain heterotrophic bacteria, which requires a metagenomic sequencing approach to capture the host cyanobacterial genome from amongst the many bacterial associate genomes.
