Hippocampal Vascular Function during Chronic Hypertesion- American Heart Association CDA2035310239

These are data sets generated through an American Heart Association Career Development Award investigating the role of the hippocampal vasculature in cognitive decline occurring during chronic hypertension. Using a rat model of chronic hypertension, memory function was tested using behavioral tasks and hippocampal arterioles function and structure determined ex-vivo using pressure myography from early to late adulthood. Interventions include chronic in vivo treatment with either an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor or antioxidant.
