S2.1: List of dairy sustainability initiatives compiled for evaluation against inclusion criteria for definition as 'dairy sustainability certification standards'. This table also reveals the 5 qualifying criteria used to include (if all 5 were met) or exclude (if any of the 5 were not met) the initiative as a dairy sustainability certification standard, to then be used for further analysis. A total of 19 standards were identified that met all criteria, and had publicly available documents for analysis.S2.2: Sustainable Assessment of Food and Agriculture Systems (SAFA) sustainability dimension, theme, and subtheme coverage analysis of 19 dairy sustainability standards. Dimensions of Environmental Integrity, Social Well-Being, Economic Resilience, themes within each dimension, and sub-themes within each theme were evaluated for each of the 19 included dairy sustainability certification standards. This was performed by analysing publicly available standard documents detailing which themes/sub-themes were addressed by each standard.S2.3: analysis of 19 dairy sustainability certification standards against credibility, accessibility, and continuous improvement features. A definition framework was created for each of the three devil's triangle aspects (credibility, accessibility, continuous improvement). Each aspect had four features, so the maximum possible score for any one standard was 12.
