Bovine nasal microbiome

Bovine respiratory disease (BRD) in feedyards has a large impact on animal welfare, antimicrobial usage and economic returns. Several pathogens are associated with BRD, but little is known about the relationship of nasal microbiota and health outcomes. In this study we aim to identify potential associations between nasopharyngeal microbiota and antimicrobial resistance in clinical cases versus non-diseased control animals.
