Demonstration of climate change mitigation measures in nutrients rich drained organic soils in Baltic States

The goal of the project is to implement innovative climate change mitigation measures in Europe's nutrient-rich organic lands in a cool and humid climate region. With the help of measures, it is possible to contribute to EU policy by reducing greenhouse emissions from agricultural use of these lands, grass cultivation and forests.Project is using research and examples to find out the possibilities of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and sequestering carbon in the use of nutrient-rich organic soil and develops a framework for evaluating and implementing climate change mitigation measures promotes a research-based approach in land use and climate policy planning in the Baltic countries, Finland and Germany.
