Data for: Spectral Diversity as a Predictor of Tree Diversity: exploring Challenges and Opportunities across Forest Ecosystems

This data is the cleaned spectral data along with the calculated biodiversity indices and environmental variables of the forest inventory plots used in the paper: Spectral Diversity as a Predictor of Tree Diversity: exploring Challenges and Opportunities across Forest Ecosystems. For details on the methods and further explanation of the data see the open access paper. Boreal_allseasons is the data from the boreal forest, mixed_allseasons is the data from the mixed forest, decid_allseasons is the data from the deciduous forests. Species_count provides the counts of each tree species (living, with a diameter at breast height > 90 mm) in each forest plot. The datasets can be connected through the unique identifier number of each plot called id_pe_mes. Variable codes and definitions can be found in variable_codes.
