Microbial community composition, metagenomic and metatranscriptomic sequence data from the redoxcline of the central western gyre of the Black Sea (project acronym: UKR11/02)

The overarching goal of the cruise MSM33 was to investigate the biology and biogeochemistry of the central Black Sea with special consideration of the processes at the pelagic redoxcline. Water samples were collected with free-flow niskin bottles connected to a CTD rosette. The project consists of 16S amplicon and metagenomic and metatranscriptomic shotgun sequencing data.
