The redox state of some oceanic basalts and the implications for the behaviour of ferric iron in magmatic clinopyroxene

This dataset contains major and minor element electron microprobe analyses of clinopyroxene, olivine, silicate glass, spinel and plagioclase feldspar from a series of basalts from the Reykjanes Ridge (North Atlantic), Snæfellsnes volcanic zone (Western Iceland), and Volcán Tajogaite (La Palma). It also includes a dataset of clinopyroxene and in-house reference materials that were used to monitor the accuracy and precision of the microprobe analyses.
