The NASA TESS mission is discovering numerous multi-planet systems that straddlethe radius valley an important feature in the observed exoplanet population.Stripping of H/He envelopes off of small planets is one of the leadingmechanisms proposed to explaining the valleys existence. Multi-planet systemsare a powerful testing ground for this hypothesis given the linked high-energyirradiation history the planets have experienced. We propose XMM-Newtonobservations of five systems straddling the valley spanning a range of systemarchitectures as well as stellar ages and masses with the aim of determiningwhich are compatible with the XUV mechanism for the forming the valley.
