Rice seeds were freshly harvested from paddy fields of Assam and Mizoram. Seven different indigenous rice landraces were selected for the study. Metagenomic DNA was sequenced for seed endophytic bacterial population through Illumina MiSeq platform. V3-V4 hypervariable region of 16S rRNA gene was targeted.
