"The HighPol dataset covers a broad range of indoor and outdoor scenes with diverse material reflection properties. Outdoor scenes include glass curtain walls, metallic vehicles, and water surfaces, whereas indoor scenes contain transparent plastics, ceramics, and tabletop materials. To enrich the distribution of polarization patterns, scenes are collected across different times of day (morning, noon, and evening) and weather conditions (sunny, cloudy, and rainy), leading to substantial variation in both polarization intensity and spectral appearance. In total, HighPol consists of 5,474 four-angle polarization image groups, corresponding to 21,896 high-resolution images. All samples are further aligned and normalized during preprocessing. The proposed dataset provides broader scene diversity, larger scale, and wider polarization strength coverage."
