During the study of co-evolution theory of the genetic code, Bacillus subtilis str. QB928 strain was previously evolved to generate a series of strains with different capability of growth on tryptophan and its unnatural analogue fluorotryptophan. To facilitate downstream comparative genomics analysis, the complete genome of QB928 was constructed.
