Endothelial TIE1 restricts angiogenic sprouting to coordinate vein assembly in synergy with its homologue TIE2

To investigate the receptor tyrosine kinase TIE1 in the regulation of vein development, we generated Tie1 knockout mouse line in which Tie1 expression is completely ablated.
