腦中風發病後的6個月是復健黃金期,運動能力恢復最快。一般來說,接受復健治療的中風病人,約40%上肢功能恢復良好,完全恢復者僅15-20%;下肢訓練後可自行走路者約85%,能上下樓梯者約20-40%,這些功能性恢復大都在中風後6個月內完成,特別是前3個月最明顯。中風復健是一項長期抗戰任務,患者本身意志力和心情的調適很重要,應該放鬆心情、持續復健及調整生活型態,才能循序漸進回到原來的生活。
