Raw and transformed <i>Th. Distichum</i> Cq and FC data to determine gene expression patterns in response to salinity stress.

Thinopyrum distichum, native to the Western and Eastern Cape dunes in South Africa, is highly tolerant of saline conditions. Investigating candidate genes within the postulated pathways—osmotic adjustment, reactive oxygen species homeostasis, and the Salt-Overly Sensitive Pathway—will further our understanding of its tolerant nature. qPCR was conducted on salt-stressed shoot and root tissue, and fold change values were evaluated to determine the site and extent of salinity tolerance within this species.
