Saxifrago-Poetum compressae (Kreh 1945) Genu et Leric 1957 is reported from eleven localities in Lower Silesia of south-western Poland and this is the first record of this association in our country. It belongs within the alliance Alysso-Sedion and the order Sedo-Scleranthetalia. Variability of the association is assessed using available comparative material from<br>Central and Western Europe. This made it possible to distinguish four subassociations on the basis of different species composition and habitat conditions. Two of these, S.-P. arrhenatheretosum and S.-P. chenopodietosum, have been recognized in Lower Silesia.
