Genetic characterization of a stem rust population from the Pacific Northwest region of the United States

The goal of this study is to identify genome wide variants in wheat stem rust (Puccinia graminis f. sp. tritici) that are associated with virulence/avirulence on barley and wheat resistance genes. This study will help to understand the evolutionary mechanisms of virulence evolution in the stem rust pathogen.
