资源简介:
Devil facial tumour disease 1 and 2 (DFT1 and DFT2) are two independent transmissible cancers threatening the survival of the Tasmanian devil (Sarcophilus harrisii). DFT1 first arose from a cell of the Schwann cell lineage, however, the tissue of origin of DFT2 is unknown. In this study we performed RNA sequencing analysis of DFT1 and DFT2 cell lines and primary tumour biopsies, as well as a range of 'healthy' Tasmanian devil tissues. Comparative analysis of mRNA expression within these tissues revealed that DFT2 is also of Schwann cell origin. Each dataset was generated by 100 base-pair single-end RNA sequencing performed on the Illumina Hiseq-2000 platform. Data is provided in raw FASTQ format.
