AIA9K

AIA9K数据集是由亚历山大大学工程学院计算机与系统工程系创建，包含9K个独立的阿拉伯手写字母样本，涵盖28个类别。数据集由107名年龄在18至25岁之间的学生志愿者书写，包括62名女性和45名男性，每个字母书写三次，总计8988个字母，经过筛选后有效样本为8737个。创建过程中，通过扫描和预处理步骤确保数据质量。该数据集主要用于阿拉伯手写字母识别研究，旨在通过比较不同窗口基描述符的性能，提高字母识别的准确性。

The AIA9K Dataset was developed by the Department of Computer and Systems Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University. It contains 9,000 independent handwritten Arabic letter samples covering 28 categories. The dataset was collected from 107 student volunteers aged 18 to 25, including 62 females and 45 males. Each volunteer wrote each target letter three times, yielding a total of 8,988 letter samples, of which 8,737 valid samples were retained after screening. Data quality was guaranteed through scanning and preprocessing procedures during the dataset construction process. This dataset is primarily utilized for Arabic handwritten letter recognition research, with the goal of enhancing letter recognition accuracy by comparing the performance of different window-based descriptors.
