Prevalence and Demographics of Psoriasis in the Down Syndrome Population: A Cross-Sectional Analysis Using the Epic Cosmos Dataset

To generate this data, first, a cohort table was prepared by querying the entire subset of patients in the Cosmos database and then systematically limiting them by the criteria contained on the sheet flowsheet_data. The largest saved subset of patients were those in the United States with an encounter or billing diagnosis for down syndrome. That table was then queried for more specific ICD codes, psoriasis visits, follow-up visits, etc., until a final cohort table was generated. Next, the final cohort table was filled out to contain demographic data, med usage data, and visit data for each patient. Meds were defined by lists of ICD-10 codes imported into Cosmos and imported into a medication reference table.
