The Council's function was to advise on New South Wales interests for consideration by the Commonwealth Bicentennial Authority. The Council was responsible to the National Board of the Australian Bicentennial Authority, and to the New South Wales State Government.This poster is a photographic reproduction and is entitled "Bicentennial Barge: a proposal for a multicultural performance and exhibition space". The poster has a description of the concept and functions of the Barge, details of the design requirements, a photograph of the model of the Barge, and a photographic depiction of Sydney Cove showing the possible berthing location for the Barge (its "home base" to be at Campbells Cove, Circular Quay).
