Aronia melanocarpa extract extends lifespan and health-span in Caenorhabditis elegans via mitogen-activated protein kinase 1

Aronia melanocarpa (AM) is rich in bioactive phytochemicals with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer effects. However, little is known about its effects on aging. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of AM extract on lifespan and health-span using Caenorhabditis elegans as a model. The mechanisms of its effects were explored using transcriptomics.
