The Eileen E. Fisher Guide to Records documents and contextualises the records of Eileen E. Fisher, a botanist and mycologist who worked in the education and government sectors on fungi and plant diseases, including their effect on agriculture. The collection documented by the Guide contains records related to her academic and professional life with little associated personal or biographical material, including handwritten notes and diaries, journals and reprints, and botanical specimens. The collection consists of 517 inventory items, mostly paper format files, grouped into eight series. The total collection occupies 494 linear cm of shelf space (or its equivalent).
The Guide is the output of a research database. It was published online by the eScholarship Research Centre in September 2009. Work on the collection was begun by the Australian Science Archives Project in the late 1990s, and continued by the Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre.
The records are held by the State Library of Victoria (MS 13701). The collection was listed by Michael Jones and Arlie McCarthy.
