The study acknowledged the profound impact that work–family support, particularly through family-supportive supervisor behaviour (FSSB) and work–family enrichment (WFE), could have on employees’ subjective career success (SCS) and turnover intention. The focus was on identifying how FSSB could support employees in balancing their work and family roles, thus enhancing their career outcomes and reducing turnover intent. Research approach, design, and method: cross-sectional survey design to collect data from a sample (N = 354) of South African employees recruited from various sectors through convenience and snowball sampling were utilised. Data was collected using the online tool Qualtrics, and statistical analyses were conducted using SPSS version 29 and Mplus version 8.6. Confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to validate the instruments, while correlation and mediation analyses were utilised to examine the relationships between the study variables, i.e., FSSB, WFE,SCS, and turnover intention.
