Glyphosate usage estimates at the global, US-national and US county scales

Using two main open access datasets (US Geological Survey and National Agricultural Statistics Service of the US department of Agriculture), we collated statistics of glyphosate usage over time at three spatial scales: worldwide (1994-2014), within the conterminous US (1974-2014), and at the level of 3055 individual counties (1993-2014). The purpose of this dataset was to compile data on glyphosate use and convert these numbers into their corresponding P contents to estimate this source of anthropogenic P.
