The epitope-specific scFv RU1 neutralized the Cn2 toxin and protected all mice injected with a mix of Cn2 toxin and scFv RU1 at a molar ratio of 1:10 toxin:scFv, whereas 0 of 20 control mice survived. The survival rate was 15/20 and 8/20 at 1:5 and 1:2 toxin: scFv molar ratios, respectively.
