This dataset consists of daily precipitation data for Shaanxi Province. It includes daily precipitation records of 100 counties, county-level cities and districts in Shaanxi Province, data compilation instructions, and geospatial information such as the longitude and latitude of each rainfall monitoring station. The temporal coverage of the data spans from 1932 to 1980: Xi'an has the longest time series (1932–1980), followed by Yulin (1935–1980), while most counties and cities have valid data spanning 1953–1980. This dataset was scanned and organized from the printed compilation *Daily Precipitation Data of Shaanxi Province* compiled by the Data Office of Shaanxi Provincial Meteorological Bureau. The data are stored as scanned images, with a total file size of 144 MB.
