Transcriptomic studies on Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis isolated from the human nasal cavities. Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis

Gene expression studies were carried out on the interspecies interaction between Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis isolated from the human nasal cavities. Both isolates were whole-genome sequenced and subsequently genomes were assembled. RNA sequencing was used to characterise the transcriptome of interacting species. This study contributes to improved understanding of pathogen-commensal interactions.
