ABA induced siRNA accumulation in ein5-1. Arabidopsis thaliana

We discovered that ein5-1 was hypersensitive to ABA. EIN5 encodes an exoribonuclease and many aberrant RNA were accumulated in ein5-1 mutant. Thus we speculated that some lncRNAs or siRNAs might contribute to this phenotype. Then we test ABA sensitivity phenotype of ein5-1 dcl2-1 dcl4-2 and found ABA sensitive phenotype of ein5-1 could be rescued when mutant both DCL2 and DCL4. This indicated that siRNAs could play vital roles in ein5-1 ABA sensitivity phenotype. In order to profile the siRNAs accumulated in ein5-1 mutant under ABA treatment, we sequenced siRNA in Col-0, ein5-1, ein5-1 dcl2-1 and ein5-1 dcl2-1 dcl4-2.
