资源简介:
Child undernutrition remains a challenge, notwithstanding considerable efforts by the Indian State. Given India’s huge diversity- geographical, social and economic diversity, the spatial dimensions of the problem require a systematic analysis taking into account the spatial variations both among the outcomes and their correlates. This thesis is an attempt in that direction. It looks at the spatial variation as a sub-set of the spatial inequalities and hence spatial injustice that calls for decentralised and context-specific interventions. The results substantiate the need for context-specific decentralised planning for tackling the problem of child undernutrition and suggests how the interventions could be prioritised.
