Identification of novel nitrogen fixing microorganisms in the tropical North Atlantic

In this project we provide sequence data related to two research cruises to the tropical North Atlantic in January/February 2020. The aim of this project was to combine stable isotope incubations for bulk and single cell nitrogen fixation measurements with metagenome/metatranscriptome sequencing to characterize the N2-fixing community in this ocean region. One focus of this study was to identify novel N2-fixing microorganisms.
