资源简介:
This study systematically investigates the systemic impact of ulcerative colitis (UC) on the host's "gut-liver-brain axis" via a multi-omics approach. While UC is a chronic inflammatory disease primarily affecting the colon, its pathological effects often extend beyond the gastrointestinal tract, triggering various extraintestinal manifestations (EIMs), including liver diseases (e.g., primary sclerosing cholangitis) and neuropsychiatric disorders (e.g., anxiety and cognitive decline). However, the mechanisms by which local intestinal inflammation modulates gene expression in the liver and brain through microbiota-dependent pathways remain incompletely understood. This project presents a unique multi-organ, multi-omics dataset derived from a DSS-induced ulcerative colitis mouse model and healthy controls. We performed high-throughput RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) on colon, liver, and brain tissues, alongside 16S rRNA gene sequencing of cecal contents.
