This study aims to contribute by identifying and examining the antecedent elements (inputs) of knowledge spillovers (KS) in organizations. It was observed that some evidence of the antecedents of KS is already mentioned, but suggestions are not clearly presented as to what can be done to make KS happen in organizations. Despite this evidence, studies that focused on specifically examining the antecedents of KS are still not found in the literature. For this purpose, an exploratory qualitative research was chosen based on twenty semi-structured interviews with professionals with management positions. The results made it possible to identify six key dimensions that shape the antecedents of KS in organizations: External Environment, Internal Environment, Team, Performance, Technology, Motivations and Difficulties. This study also showed that the organizational environment is a key element for KS to occur in the organization, as well as the strategic management of the organization needs to have a close look at both the internal environment and employees, directing paths that allow both to meet prepared to seek, capture, manage and use knowledge for the benefit of the organization.
